last time 81% of the public against Bautista, Bautista won the fight. And he was similar underdog. Not saying it means anything. Lol

Bautista vs Patchy Mix

Predictions: 12 of 13 Winners, 6 Perfect, 815 Points   |   Tied for 73rd

I was over confident on Patchy Mix this fight. I will have to admit. I am glad I did further research. Both guys have one significant edge over each other. Bautista is far the better striker. By a mile. Patchy jujitsu game is absolutely no joke. It's a little alarming that the whole public is on him. This fight should be near at pick em, if not, Bautista should be the favorite.  Just from UFC experience in general.  I'm not sure why some think he lost against Aldo, but in my opinion he clearly won the fight. And the reason it was so close, because Aldo was able to implement and bring the same game to him with the boxing. I may have to take Bautista. Little concerned if it goes to a split, fan base can have the influence on the judges for Patchy to get the W. Anyways, Bautista should be the favorite.  And probably should be the side.

what's with the Gustaffson has to walk into the dAnGeR zOnE regurgitation all week, it is spreading like a virus. have you stopped to think a few more steps beyond that? ok, so he walks in, eats a few shots and ends up clinching. toll paid. now what? everybody seems to think the moment Khaos hits Gustafsson it will be lights out for him. watch the last 2 fights for Khaos again, he is missing most of his shots, he definitely isn't as good as I remembered him to be. hard pass on both guys at this point.

I just checked both their instagrams too and Khaos has 0 training going on it looks like. Gustafson doing back to back cuts is worrisome maybe, but honestly, at least he is training and I think he may be the harder hitter between the two. he also has the same frame as Bonfim just not the same evasive footwork.

neither guy is very good, Gustaffson definitely more hittable between the two. but trusting Khaos over Gustafsson's chin may be more of a gamble.

worth noting the guy has a giant iron cross tattoo and have been booked to fight 3 black dudes so idk what the UFC is trying to do here.

One huge favorite is bound to flop

Predictions: 10 of 13 Winners, 6 Perfect, 700 Points   |   Tied for 1140th

Whenever we have a bunch of huge favorites on a card like this something happens that nobody expects. My suspicion this time is that Pena might actually beat Kayla Harrison. I can’t give you any tangible reason as to why aside from vibes in the lead up.  Or maybe Murzakonov or Joshua Van get flash KOd and lose all their hype. This sport has a tendency to make no sense so you never know. Probably a take that’ll age like milk though.

He has to walk through shots and get to the clinch for 15 minutes though. You can only walk into so many shots and take so much damage before you crumble. Khaos hits hard af. Both guys aren't great technically, but Khaos' X-Factor is power and Gustafsson's is non-stop pressure. It's a fun clash of styles and either guy could win. I just think walking forward and eating shots to get into the clinch might not be the best gameplan against someone like Khaos

Salkilld and Kayla both likely to lose and it would make sense if you ignore the records and look at their styles.

Aspen Ladd took Kayla's back and was going for an RNC just a few fights ago. from the same sequence Pena took McMann and Nunes and Pennington's backs. sprawl -> move to side -> jump on back -> body triangle

Salkilld is likely to be ragdolled by Ashmouz and stay on his back looking for meme subs. Yes I watched the Don Mar Fan fight and he did just that the entire R1, hurt Fan with a headkick early R2 and it was downhill from there. I don't see Ashmouz getting hurt like that, and he is definitely stronger and is a better wrestler.

Mederos had Hubbard ride his back for 3 mins in R2. He can hurt Choinski maybe, but then Choinski would take him down. if he doesn't hurt Choinski, then he gets taken down eventually. Choinski's transitions are pretty good and I don't know if Mederos can knock him out cold on the feet before Choinski decides to shoot.

Wang is extremely overrated for no reason, and is very cringe imo. if Lipski kicks her head off into the next Singapore fight night card I wouldn't be surprised at all. she does has better wrestling relative to Lipski so she probably wins if she actually uses it.

Yoo looks decent but untested against someone that hits as hard as Saragih.

Silva vs Van is Barcelos vs Tallbot.

Acosta vs Spivac is Tybura vs Parkin.

Merab vs Sean is Merab vs Sean.

why does he need to do it for 15 minutes? why can't he drop Khaos within the first few clinch attempts, or take him down and choke him like Bonfim did? Khaos hits hard, but he also misses a ton. I don't think it is as clear cut.

I have heard the exact same phrasing from so many people, it sounds like some mental virus at this point, no offense. While it may be accurate, it certainly raises some concerns regarding the critical processes behind the take.

Of all the big favorites I think Pyfer is the most likely to lose. He's already been beat by an aging vet once before and hasn't had enough cage time to show hes improved since then. If this fight takes place on the feet, Gastelum is probably the more technical fighter. Pyfer's power and youth is the equalizer, but Gastelum has always been extremely durable. Pyfer's easiest path to victory would be to use his size and wrestle, but then you have to worry about his cardio holding up later in the fight. That one could get interesting if Gastelum has anything left in the tank.

O'malley without weed, normal hair and a humble personality. I believe that fight will be closer than the first one and merab is going to win with a 48-47 via gas tank.

well I haven't been reading anyone's comments if that makes a difference. I'm just stating what I'm seeing on tape. Maybe everyone else is just seeing the same things too? It's not hard to see. Doesn't mean it's going to play out that way, but when you watch their styles and put the pieces of the puzzle together that's the conclusion most would come to.

Also, maybe Gustafsson could finish him, but he doesn't really hit that hard. When he's hurting people it's usually from elbows or knees in the clinch. Khaos is also pretty durable. Both guys are really. It should be a war. The way the styles matchup Khaos has the first opportunity to hurt Gustafsson though. If Gustafsson gets through that and gets into the clinch then he'll have his opportunity.

There's also a gap in experience to think about. Khaos is a seasoned UFC vet at this point. Gustafsson was going life or death with guys on the regional scene that aren't all that great. He usually broke them and found the finish, but it's easy to look good against bums.

I don't think Gustafsson is strong in the clinch tbh, he has better moments when on the mat if he initiated it, relatively speaking. I can't see him hurting Khaos there, but I can see him taking him down over and over like Bonfim did.

Gustafsson's wrestling and grappling is nowhere near Bonfim's level though. It's honestly not that great at all. And Gustafsson's clinch is 100% the best part of his game. Even his takedowns come from the clinch mostly. He just does sloppy body lock takedowns on people once he walks them down and tires them out.

exactly, that's how he takes people down most of the time and that's how Bonfim took down Khaos a few times in R1 iirc. Maybe you don't even have to be that good to take Khaos down from that position, that's the question that might be answered. I would fear the man who practiced a shiddy TD 1000s of times. this might go to a decision too, and would be pretty greasy potentially.

If it goes to DEC it probably favors Gustafsson tbh. He's the one thats going to be walking forward and throwing more volume. If you're picking Khaos it's most likely by KO

Love that everyone’s discussing Gustafsson v Khaos. Because I got no clue. I came in here seeking advice and people seem pretty torn. Gustafsson is untested and Khaos is quite the test!
